The New Paradigm Strategies of Business Building

As you know, the world is opening up to all things Spiritual in nature.  Now, more than ever before, people are waking up on their spiritual paths and consciously connecting with Universal Truths.  As this new awareness is growing, so is a new way of being in business.

So many Conscious Entrepreneurs are growing more and more annoyed at the hype-y, pushy, old-school marketing ploys of some of the most “successful” internet marketers.  I’m with you on that one.  But things are changing – and new, spirit-filled, empowering, authentic based strategies are emerging.

Which is exciting – but there’s also a bit of a learning curve. We have to learn to do business in a whole new way.  Many of us can feel and sense that the old strategies and paradigms are breaking down and a new paradigm and way of being in business is emerging.  And yet many Conscious Entrepreneurs are still doing it the old school way – of push, struggle and strain.  Why?

Well many things could account for this but I’m guessing it’s because they aren’t really clear about what these “new paradigm” strategies are.  I talk with Conscious Entrepreneurs every week and hear their painful stories of wanting to be in service and make a difference in the world – and yet they struggle to get clients.  And this struggle tends to make them want to grasp on to the strategies they know.  So they end up working harder and pushing more.  Guess what?  It doesn’t work.

What does work is tapping into an energy of ease and flow in your business.  Easier said than done.  It’s not like they make it sound in “The Secret.”  You know, just think about it and it will appear.  What an over-simplification of the Universal Laws.

But it can be done.  IF you are willing to learn the new paradigm strategies.  And you are willing to TRUST that a new way of being in business can work for you.  The best way to ensure success is to create a powerful BLEND of spiritual strategies and optimized, updated, business strategies.  You know what they say, you have to “Pray AND move your feet.”

Today let’s talk about a few other things that you need to have going well in your business in order for those “Kool-Aid” programs to work.

Remember, the high-priced programs I’m talking about are the ones that try to show you how to create high-priced programs yourself. You know, those super-hypey ones that tell you “it’s so easy, you just do it and the clients come flocking in.” Yeah, right.

While this is not intended to be a comprehensive list, it can give you some things to think about and ask yourself if you have them, before you commit to buying such a program.

Okay, first of all you have to have a solid marketing plan. It’s imperative to have all systems firing when planning on selling a high-priced program.

Not only does your core messaging have to super-powerful and focus on the results, but also it’s important to have a very professional look and feel to your program. No cheap-o graphics or homemade websites will do for these kinds of programs. If you want to charge the big bucks, you better have a big-bucks-looking look to your graphics.

Another thing you’ll need to have is a very, very strong track record of success. Which means you better have killer testimonials, as well. Creating these programs does not make sense for people who are just starting out in their business and don’t have a proven system that yields great results.

And then there’s your list. If you have a huge list to market to, you’re going to have a much easier time finding people who can commit to a high-priced program of your own. If you have a small list, you have fewer people to market to, right?

But wanna’ know the one thing that you absolutely HAVE to have in order for this all to work?

You have to have the BELIEFS to support the program. If you don’t think that your program is the best thing ever and that people are going to get amazing results from it – and that you are the perfect expert to help the program participants create the success you’re promising, guess what? It won’t fly.

High priced programs need to be fueled by uber-confidence. Confidence that you can deliver. Confidence that your clients will receive the results you promise – because you really care about your clients, don’t you? If you don’t care if they get results, this belief does not apply.

That’s one thing those hypey-marketers have an abundance of – Confidence. Verging on cockyness if you ask me. There is a difference.

And most important of all you have to believe that you deserve to achieve this goal. True for any goal, I might add. If you don’t believe it, you won’t achieve it.

So before you fall prey to a hypey-program promising the moon and stars, take a look at what’s going on in your business to make sure you’re at the right stage to be successful with it.

And if you find you’re not at that stage of your business where you can charge those high prices, just focus on being the best you can be where you are. Charge a fair price, do a great job for your clients. And keep on finessing those important building blocks of your business. You can do great things by getting back to basics.

Remember what happened to the people who drank the Kool-Aid that the cult leader was giving out? The people blindly believed in the lies they were being told because they SO wanted to believe their leader. And boy did they pay dearly for it – with their lives!

And I know some of you are paying dearly for drinking the Kool-Aid yourselves. Your paying with lost revenue, fewer clients, depression and not being able to help those that you so want to help in your business.

What Kool-Aid am I talking about, you ask? The kind that some of the big name, celebrity entrepreneurs are selling. The kind that has the flavor of “just follow my system and you can charge super-high pricing and make a kajillion dollars overnight.” The kind that sounds so simple and so slick, but in reality works for very few people.

Sure it sounds great to make a lot of money and help people at the same time. Who wouldn’t want to do that? But you have to have a very specific set of things going on in your business in order for these high pricing structures to work well.

I can’t tell you how many people I’ve worked with over the last few years who came to me in tears and feeling so discouraged and unworthy (and in DEBT) after trying these hype-filled, celebrity programs.

They thought they were the only ones who it didn’t work for. They would say things like “Molly, what’s wrong with me? I did everything they said but it didn’t work and now I’ve spent even more money on programs that didn’t work. Help!”

I quickly tell these clients that not only are they not the only ones who have struggled to realize the mega-success that these programs promise, but that they are in fact in the MAJORITY! That’s right, folks, the majority of people who buy these programs don’t achieve the level of success that they are promised.

Why? Because you have to have a very specific set of things going right for you in your business in order for them to work.

First of all, you have to be in vibrational RESONANCE with the pricing you are charging. If you are charging mega-bucks for your services and not getting it, guess what? You’re not in resonance with the pricing. If you were, people would be buying at that rate. (By the way, “resonance” is just a term for “match.”)

I can’t tell you how many people I have coached and we almost immediately change their pricing to that which they are resonant with. And guess what happens. People start buying. Immediately.

Now I realize that some of you probably don’t want to hear this. You may think I’m a blasphemous for even suggesting such a thing. That’s okay. You can go on believing in something that isn’t working. But my guess is that if you’re really honest with yourself, you’ll realize that what I’m saying is true.

The fact is that coaches and other service providers are being encouraged to charge OUTRAGEOUS fees for their services. And that leaves many people struggling to attract clients.

Pricing is a very tricky business. You have to strike a delicate balance that meets the following criteria:

• You have to be in resonance with it.
• You need to feel good about it (not making the price so low that you’re giving it away).
• The market can support your pricing. Are there other people at your level that regularly receive this kind of pricing?
• Your potential clients need to feel like it’s a good value and understand the RESULTS you are offering for the investment.
• You feel like it would be a “no-brainer” for people to buy at this price. This creates a very powerful energy within you that translates into SALES!

So ask yourself,  which would you rather have…clients at a lower price or NO CLIENTS at all? If you are smart you’ll take a hard look at that pricing and see if making some changes might not benefit you and the people that you want to help.

Next time I’ll get more into some more of the essential pieces of the puzzle that must be in place in order for the “Kool-Aid” programs, as I’ll call them, to work.  So until then, run your pricing through the filter of the bullet points provided above and see if there are some changes to be made.  Good luck!

So how is 2012 going for you so far?  It should be a fabulous year.  Not only is it the Age of Aquarius, the Year 2012 but it’s the Year of the Water Dragon.  This means it’s the perfect time to uplevel yourself AND your business.    

In case you hadn’t heard, according to Chinese folklore, the Water Dragon is a mythological creature that is intensely powerful, magical, charismatic and spiritual – and bold!  He is a risk taker who boldly goes for what he wants.  Does this sound like you?  Or more of what you’d like to be?

The Water Dragon embodies so many incredible qualities and since he is the symbol for the Chinese New Year this year, he brings with him a great opportunity – to empower ourselves to create an even bolder, happier and more fulfilling expression of ourselves in this most auspicious year, 2012.

This is not the year to stay small, play it safe or hide out.  It’s the year to connect deeply with yourself, your gifts and just exactly HOW you want to express yourself in the world.

It’s the year to make good on those spiritual contracts we all agreed to before we got here.

So let’s all take a cue from our friend, the Water Dragon.  Let’s get real with ourselves…let’s be BOLD…let’s say “Yes!” to ourselves and to being the best we can be in this year.  And let’s join together to create a positive earth energy that is palpable, uplifting and transformative.

1.  If nothing was standing in my way, what would I like to experience more of?

2.  If I were playing bigger and being bolder in my business and life I would…

Once you answer these questions, commit to yourself that you will do whatever it takes to align yourself with the positive qualities.  Now is the time to stop telling the same old stories about your past and to create a new, fresh, powerful story about your life and what you are creating.

The year of the Water Dragon is one in which “fortunes can be made.”  So if there was ever a year to align with your divine birthright of abundance, NOW is the year!  And never forget that when you are more bold, connected and powerful, you positively impact those around you.  Enjoy this year, my friends.  It’s going to be a great one!

If you’re like me you just LOVE the beginning of each New Year. It feels like optimism and a fresh start are in the air, doesn’t it? So why not leverage the good energy that’s floating around and get yourself geared up to make this your best year yet! A great way to do this is to create a Master Plan for the year.

There are a few steps to this process but I think you’ll find that taking some time for yourself to get quiet and get clear about what you really want, will pay off – big time!

I would recommend getting out of your regular environment for the first part of this process. There’s just something powerful about a change of scenery that really works well for this.

So pick a new coffee shop, or a library or someplace you feel drawn to so you can have a fresh perspective and change of scenery. Take a notebook or a computer with you and answer the following questions…

• What feelings do I want to have more of this year?
• What kinds of experiences would I like to have?
• What are 3 things I would really like more of in the New Year?
• 3 goals I would love to achieve this year are…

When you sit down for this introspective exercise, make sure you do not censor any images, words or ideas that occur to you. Just allow the information to flow.

Then answer (and again, let it flow)…

• What do I need more of to achieve my goals?
• Is there anything I do or surround myself with that might negatively impact my success?
• What limiting beliefs do I carry that don’t support my goals and dreams?
• Who do I need to be in order to achieve my goals?
• What changes do I need to make to support myself in achieving these goals?

Whatever your goals are – make sure you are set up to achieve them. Many goals don’t happen because at the core, people don’t have the beliefs systems to support them. So what ends up happening is people sabotage themselves all over the place by not getting the support they need or not creating new ways of being to get there. Makes sense, huh?

You may choose to translate the information you gathered into a form that supports your forward momentum. For example, you could create a Vision Board that visually depicts the goals and dreams you have for yourself. You may also wish to join a mastermind group or hire a coach to help make your dreams a reality. It is important that you create some structures in your life that keep you oriented to your goals.

So what are YOU going to do differently this year to make it the BEST YEAR EVER? Who are you going to be? Are you going to be your most confident, powerful self? I sure hope so, because when you step into this way of being, you can create anything you desire.

I hope this year is your best year ever!

Has your intuitive guidance been telling you something? It might even be something that you don’t want to hear. If so, are you willing to listen? Are you willing to open yourself up to what the Universe has to offer?

Our Higher Selves always know what’s best for us. But sometimes it’s hard to hear the messages. Either we’re not listening closely enough to hear anything at all – or we ignore the messages because we don’t trust them. But the answers are right there in front of us all of the time. We just have to listen.

So today, won’t you give yourself the gift of listening?

Won’t you take even 15 minutes for yourself to get quiet and allow your intuitive guidance to emerge?

Here’s an exercise to access your this information for those of you who are willing.

Take a blank piece of paper and turn it sideways and write the following question…

“What does my Higher Self want me to know today?”

Then take the paper and a pen to a peaceful, calming space and get very quiet. Breathe deeply – in for a count of 8 – out for a count of 8. Do this until you get into a centered and feel calm.

Then open your eyes, put the pen in your non-dominant hand and allow the pen to start moving to answer the question. You might hear a voice speaking – or have a feeling – or maybe some words just start to appear on the paper. There is no right way that this intuitive guidance emerges.

You can do this exercise every day. See what emerges. What are the messages? Are there patterns?

Start to open yourself up to the possibility of listening to the guidance. What would be possible for you if you did?

Are you willing to trust and see what the Universe has in store for you? Are you willing to go with the flow instead of trying to muscle through life and make it all work on your own?

It’s an interesting process for those who are used to doing it all by themselves. This idea of listening and surrendering takes some deep faith and lots of practice. But the rewards are so sweet. I do hope you will listen.

I want to talk to you about confidence. Now I’m not talking about that icky, cocky kind of confidence that we all can see and feel a mile away.

I’m talking about “authentic” confidence.

You’ve seen it before. You can recognize those people that just seem to be happy and seem to have it together.

They are comfortable in any situation – they aren’t trying to impress or prove anything to anyone. They are just being themselves.

Now THAT’s authentic confidence.

So think about it – if you were authentically confident with yourself, what would be possible?

Would you attract more clients?

Would you find go for a new job?

Would you be able to head up a committee for your favorite charity?

The answer is of course! When you are authentically confident, you are far more likely to attract the opportunities that you are seeking.

So the question becomes, what does it take to be authentically confident?

There are many strategies and ways to go about this.

So let me share a little exercise with you. After you get done reading this email, write this question on a piece of paper.

What am I believing about myself that negatively impacts my authentic confidence?

See what comes to mind. And keep the paper handy. Look at it every day and add to it as things come to mind.

Knowing yourself well – and doing the work to bring yourself into alignment with the TRUTH is important work – and the work that can get you where you want to go in life.

Chances are there are things on this list that aren’t really even your beliefs. They have been created because of things you’ve heard – from your parents, teachers or even well-meaning religious organizations who programmed you with beliefs of unworthiness.

There are no victims in life, my friend. You have every opportunity to re-program yourself to believe good things about yourself.

And this creates authentic confidence. Believing what Source – and your higher self knows to be true for you. You are part of the Divine, you are good, you are love – and loved.

You don’t have to DO anything to be deserving of a good life. You deserve it just because you are here.

So many heart-centered Entrepreneurs are struggling to make a great living sharing their gifts these days. They have been courageous and taken the plunge to leave the safety net of the corporate world and long to help make the world a better place.

They’ve done their best to research success strategies on the Internet, subscribing to ezines, telesummits and even paying for programs that promise almost miraculous results.

But there’s a problem with much of the success strategy information out there. The focus is on the “hype” and not on the reality of what needs to be present in order for those success strategies to work well.

Maybe you’re one of the many Entrepreneurs who are starting to wake up after having spent lots of money on programs that didn’t work for you. Or maybe you’ve been exposed to enough slick marketing hype that you’re feeling over-saturated.

I talk to people every week, it seems, who tell me stories of how they follow certain celebrity entrepreneurs success advice (usually at great financial investment) yet they are still struggling – only even worse than before – because now they’ve invested tons of money. Many of these wonderful, smart, caring people are on the brink of either bankruptcy or having to return to corporate and take a job working for someone else. This truly breaks my heart.

So today I’m going to share with you my personal, very strong opinion about just SOME of what it takes for outside-in success strategies to really work. I know that some of you aren’t going to like what I’m saying in this article. You might think I’m being pessimistic. I don’t call it pessimistic – I call it realistic. I’m giving it to you straight, my friends – from the heart – hoping you will be able to identify the reality of what is happening in your business.

In order for outside-in success strategies to work, you need:
A big, responsive list
A unique, well defined platform
A clearly defined niche and target market
Crystal clear core marketing messages and campaigns
Professionally produced websites, sales pages and materials
Consistent passive and active marketing strategies
Relationships with potential joint venture and affiliates who also have big, responsive lists
Confidence
Belief that you deserve success
Positive self-esteem

These are all things that really need to be present in order for one to achieve those 6 and 7 figure goals that the hype-y programs promise.

And there is ONE thing on this list that will absolutely undermine everything. If you don’t have this one thing, you will struggle and sabotage any chance you have of creating and sustaining a successful heart-centered business – DESERVABILITY. If you don’t feel that you deserve the success you desire, your subconscious will make sure that you don’t get it or don’t keep it.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, folks. But I’ve seen it over and over again. And I’ve certainly experienced it myself.

I’ve been a Professional Coach for a decade now and I focused on the outside-in strategies for a long time before I was lucky enough to receive the message that before I did anything else, in order to be successful I needed to LOVE MYSELF.

Walking this beautiful path has healed my once buried deservabilty and self-worth issues. Once I started to know myself from the inside out – and healed all of my deep wounds, a funny thing happened; success strategies I had tried before started to work. The focus of my business naturally changed in a positive way. I could clearly see opportunities, create effective marketing messages and execute marketing strategies with ease and flow like I’d never experienced before.

You see, your vibration raises up dramatically when you love yourself. The Law of Attraction starts to bring you things that feel good – because YOU feel good. People start to respond to you because they can feel your good energy – not your confusion and secret lack of confidence.

When will you see that true, authentic, fulfilling success comes only from the inside out – not the other way around?

Please, I urge you to focus your time, energy, attention and investments to programs and information that support you on INSIDE-OUT strategies. Because without the optimized inside, you’ll struggle. And probably just won’t make it.

So many people stay stuck where they are because they don’t value themselves fully. Recently I started working with a person – we’ll call her Susie – who has so many obvious talents and abilities. She’s smart as a whip and has an encyclopedic knowledge of a variety of interesting topics. She happily rattles off resources, ideas, tidbits of information. It’s very clear that Susie loves to help others and is always right there with some relevant information.

While Susie has many talents that are obvious to me, she has a difficult time recognizing them in herself. During a recent phone call I was telling her how much I appreciated her intellect and she started to cry. She shared with me that she doesn’t really feel that way about herself and struggles to appreciate her own qualities. I can certainly relate. There was a time when I struggled with my own gifts too, thinking they weren’t really that special.

But I’m over that, and Susie is on her way now, too. All of us have wonderful qualities that are unique and special. And we should lovingly appreciate ourselves for all of these qualities. It’s a delicate dance, though isn’t it? We don’t want to come off as an ego-maniac or a jerk by flaunting how great we are. But we also owe it to ourselves to heal the part of us that tells us to play small and undervalue our own gifts.

The world is changing every day. More, now than ever before, people are waking up and realizing that in order to make a difference and be their best in the world, they need to follow their soul’s lead and let go of those old beliefs about themselves that aren’t serving them anymore.

Susie is working on developing her own sense of self-love and appreciation. She understands the value that comes from this and is taking steps to live her life from this space. Are you ready to do the same thing? Are there qualities that others tell you they appreciate, that you can’t appreciate in yourself? Are you hanging on to past hurts or beliefs that aren’t serving you?

It’s time to let this all go. It’s time to get in touch with yourself, your gifts and let your inner star shine brightly. The world needs us now more than ever before, to stand in our power, to know who we are, what we believe in and be willing to take a powerful stand for those things that we care about. Loving yourself is the best gift you could ever give yourself – or the world.

Love. It’s in the air today on Valentine’s Day. It’s a day where people focus on loving those in their lives with niceties such as flowers, chocolates, romantic evenings and nice dinners. And I love that! My husband and I always celebrate this holiday with each other.

And while expressing our love for one another is great, it just seems to me that there should be more emphasis on cultivating the love relationship with ourselves.

Too often we are not loving towards ourselves. Not only not loving, but downright mean more often than not.

Think about it. Would you ever speak to a child or friend the way that you speak to yourself?

We all have an inner critic that tells us we are bad or wrong – or stupid. Or maybe all of these things and more.

I think I had the most active inner critic ever. Mine was so raging that I spent years feeling unworthy and awful. I was in a terrible cycle – beating myself up over and over and over again.

But I have created strategies for myself to tame my critic’s voice using energy clearing – and the “turn-to” statement. This is a statement that you create to use when the Inner Critic is doing its thing.

Here are some examples… of “turn-to” statements…

“I’m doing the best that I can”
“All is well”
“I love myself just the way I am”

So if the inner critic is saying “You’re so stupid. Why did you do that?” You would use a “turn-to” statement and tell yourself – in your head “I’m doing the best that I can.”

Since your Inner Critic has probably been doing its thing already today, won’t you take a moment right now and tell yourself “I Love You.” Just silently – in your own mind, say these words. “I love you. I love you. I love you.”

This might feel odd, but please try it. I know many of you might be thinking that you can’t say it because it’s not true; you don’t love yourself right now. But isn’t there some little part of yourself that deserves your own love?

What about your sweet little inner child who wasn’t taught to love herself? Doesn’t she deserve some love?

Listen, I know for many of you it seems too hard. But just try it. “I love you.” Say it to yourself, “I love you.”

Loving yourself is the greatest gift you could ever give yourself – and your loved ones. Because when you are filled up with love, from the inside out, your entire world changes for the better. You have so much more of your authentic self to share with the world. You are a role model for everyone you know. Your vibration uplevels and you start to attract more of what you want.

I hope that you’ll take just a moment today to consider that you can love yourself. Spirit certainly does. Your Higher Self does. And you can too. You do deserve it!
